i'm a college freshman who's embarked on a bit of an html journey.
i only really work on this site when i feel like it, so updates may be a bit sporadic,
and the format is subject to change. i started this website just for fun,
but i may use it for more official purposes in the future. we'll see :p

playing guitar
i've been playing for about 11 years now and still can barely read sheet music ^-^ i still really like learning classical songs.
listening to music
i mostly like japanese music but i listen to a lot of different stuff. i also collect cds of a lot of different genres and origins.
sometimes i try and start a new one and quit a few days later but i've managed to stick to japanese for 4 years now and hope i'll keep going for a long time
cooking
frying stuff scares me but i love fried food so hopefully i can get over my fear of hot oil soon. i think i make pretty good ramen.
fermenting
since i first made pickles in 3rd grade i've loved pickling and fermentation in general. lately it's just been kimchi, but i'd like to try making cucumber pickles again sometime.
shogi
i first played in early 2023 i think and it's extremely frustrating, although rewarding when i occasionally win. i've been trying to read some books on shogi but beyond a complete beginner's level they're all in japanese so it takes me more time that normal. it is a good way to practice my reading though. lately i'm not so active but feel free to follow me on 81dojo and maybe we can play together sometime!
